South Africa has something to offer travellers of all types. From stunning landscapes filled with mountains and forests to bustling cities just waiting to be explored, there’s always an adventure to be had and new experiences to discover.

For thriving nightlife and great food in a modern city there’s Cape Town. Dubbed the ‘mother city’, this cosmopolitan metropolis is dominated by Table Mountain and has a national park, two World Heritage sites and a wide range of attractions.

Near here you’ll find the country's wine region, a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. With rolling vineyards and valleys nestled between rugged mountains, it’s a great place to take a wine tour.

Alternatively Johannesburg, or Jo’burg as locals like to call it, is packed with modern skyscrapers and massive malls, as well having over six million trees in the northern suburbs.

For the more adventurous traveller, South Africa also offers a wealth of options. Kruger National Park is a world-renowned safari destination and supports the greatest variety of wildlife species on the African continent; Bloukrans Bridge Bungy is the highest commercial bridge bungy in the world at 216m high.

Add to this opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, paragliding, surfing, scuba diving, canoeing and even shark diving, there’s more than enough to get your adrenaline fix!

And if any of this doesn’t appeal, you can always just relax on some of the finest beaches in the world – with 3,500km of coastline there’s plenty of choice!
